A birthday in Copenhagen
I somehow ended up in Copenhagen for my birthday. Crossed a raging Baltic Sea, drove through agricultural Sweden, stayed in a welcoming Malmö before making the final crossing via an 8 kilometre long bridge.
I spent the day with my favourite human. Drank my body weight in prosecco. Had a fair share of puppy cuddles. Wore a dress that loves to dance and heels that were not made for cobblestones. Savoured a bit of Japan, drowned myself in layers of chocolate and sponge cake, embraced hygge and eventually forgave Copenhagen for giving me grey skies and rain.
Thank you to my husband for sorting a mini break when we needed it the most. For making sure I got sunshine on a rainy day. For the memories. For being so freakin awesome. I love you. Always.
